I have been one busy lady since right before Christmas. I took the week off during the holidays (from designing…not from answering email or I’d never get caught back up) and have been hard at work since.

Since December 15, I have completed and launched TEN SITES, including redoing my own. Instead of posting each one of these sites individually, I decided to just do one big post of all of my latest work so that you guys could see why I haven’t been blogging as frequently and averaging up to two weeks to return comments. I’m learning that while designing itself is time consuming, replying to emails and keeping in touch with clients is as consuming as anything. I know now why people hire assistants JUST to keep tabs on their inbox.

I have loads more to come. I’m currently booked into April with new inquiries rolling in every few days. I’m excited to still be doing what I love and I know in my heart that I’m in the right place doing the right thing with my life because I love my job as much now as I did six months ago when I started on this venture. So thanks to all of you who continue to offer me support and encouragement. I love you guys to pieces. I really do.

And now…the point of this whole post…my latest work:

All of these were designed using the Genesis Framework from StudioPress…

That’s all for right now! I have one design awaiting installation, one or two in the works (currently) and a whole lot more coming up! I’ll try to do better about updating my designs now that all of my information is in one place.

    Wow, I love your work!

When you approach design how do you ensure that each site is unique? I love Genesis and I understand how flexible it is, but one still usually includes a header, sidebar, menu etc. Clearly you are doing much more than just changing colors and fonts. Do you ever run out of ideas?

    Thanks,

Thank you, Greg! Each client is different, so I try to approach each new design in that manner…striving to capturing the clients personality for them. I seek information using several core questions that give me insight into what they want for their site and what they hope to achieve. I find myself getting stumped on occasion, but I have a slew of other designers and artists whose work I admire. When I’m stumped, I browse their sites/portfolios until a new idea is triggered. Usually, I see something on their sites that sparks a brand new concept for me.

Wow! I’m seriously impressed – these designs are beautiful. I really love your use of colors that should technically clash but don’t.

If I can ever afford a custom Genesis theme I’ll be coming to you! Time to start saving my pennies I think…

I love your designs. It is all simple but has a lot to offer. I have never tried to use Genesis Framework before. I am currently looking for a good theme to replace my current one. I have been looking for a good free theme but can’t find one that suits my blog. I will give this a try.
