For those of you who don’t follow my Twitter Stream, you might not have realized that I’ve been totally and completely out of commission this week.
Friday night I felt the onset of a headache beginning, and it blew up into a full blown migraine by Monday morning. I managed to enjoy most of Mother’s Day weekend, but Monday left me on the couch, completely useless.
I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday morning, after enduring this monster of a headache for six days. He gave me some Migraine meds, told me to make an appointment with the Optometrist on the Island and then we’ll go from there.
So, forgive me for not reading your blogs, not commenting on said blogs, and not replying to most of the email that’s still sitting in my inbox. The few posts you’ve been reading this week are all posts that I had scheduled, but after Wednesday’s “Real Life in Alaska” post, I had nothing.
Which is why you guys have had nothing to read.
I did manage to squeak out a Guest Post I’m doing next week for a super-fabulous blogger. I had my “research” for that one all ready and just had to type it out. Thank goodness, or it might not have gotten done. Other than that, I’ve done nothing.
I took several naps, drank lots and lots of water, and took enough Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Sudafed, Excedrin, and Benadryl to stock an entire pharmacy.
All of that said, to say that I’m taking the rest of the weekend off to finish getting over my headache and enjoy the beautiful Kodiak weather. It’s summer here already. Temperatures topped out yesterday at 60. 🙂
I’ll be back next week for Me Time Monday!
Hope you guys have a fantastic weekend!
