Another great week of great reads! So excited to share these with you! Make sure to head over and visit these ladies because they are all so, so fabulous. Don’t forget that if you are featured today, or have been featured in the past few weeks, that you can grab one of the little button’s below—if you’re into blog bling.
In a Dark Place? by Jennifer @ Hip as I wanna be: I loved this post. I think because I’ve been there. I’ve been this person she’s talking about. I’ve allowed myself to be something I wasn’t to try to please someone else, and I ended up burned. And she’s so, so honest about it.
Please don’t read my blog by Mandy @ Harper’s Happenings: This post was a great wakeup…a well written post on we—as bloggers, try to pacify, satisfy and cater to our readers. I love all of you dearly, some of you have become “real life” best friends that I turn to when I need you. And while I still believe that there are some things you can do to make your blog more pleasant and appealing to ALL people, some things go to the extreme. And this post talks about those things.
Managing Dreams as a married—sometimes single, mother by Khara @ the Baby Mama Chronicles: This is another post that just SCREAMS, “I could have written that.” Khara addresses everything that I work for my blog to stand for: giving moms a chance to pursue their passions and their goals. She writes about her dreams of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and how being a mom sometimes inhibits that. So well written!
“No” is an Answer by Katie @ Sluiter Nation: Wow. This post was so moving, so true, and so hard to swallow. Sometimes, even when we have other plans and we think things should be different, God says no. Repeatedly. We don’t control our destiny. He does. Go read this. Now.
- Confessions of a Fearful Blogger by Kathy [a Guest post for Scoutie Girl]: Kathy wrote mainly about her fear of blogging, but I felt like what she wrote related to so, so many parts of life. Especially for me right now. My bloggy friend, Faith, sent me the link to this after reading my post on not feeling good enough and it just clicked with me instantly. I honestly haven’t connected with a post this deeply in a long time.
- Lots of great reads this week. Make sure you guys check them out. Happy Friday! Yay for the weekend!! 🙂
